Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and safety issues.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, and brake systems.
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repairs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Ensure a safe and organized work environment, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- NVQ L3 or equivalent; formal education or certification in automotive technology is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role in a reputable automotive repair facility.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques in the automotive industry.
