We are currently seeking a skilled and highly organized Workshop Controller to join our team. The Workshop Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our workshop, ensuring efficient workflow, quality repairs, and exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, technical knowledge, and a passion for delivering outstanding results in a fast-paced automotive repair environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workshop Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of automotive technicians, mechanics, and support staff to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of repair jobs.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of repairs, conduct regular inspections, and ensure adherence to industry standards and company policies to deliver high-quality service to customers.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers, address their concerns, provide updates on repair progress, and ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the repair process.
- Inventory Management: Manage workshop inventory, order necessary parts and supplies, and maintain accurate records to support efficient repair operations.
- Staff Development: Provide training, guidance, and support to workshop staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze workshop performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promote a safe working environment, and implement necessary protocols to minimize workplace accidents.
Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with a deep understanding of various vehicle systems and diagnostic tools.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing a team of technicians, demonstrating excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer Focus: Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport, address customer concerns, and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy workshop environment.

- Certifications: Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive repair and management are preferred.
