Chery Durham Saddles Up for Spennymoor Gala 2026
Cowboy hats, country music, sunshine and plenty of familiar faces – Spennymoor Gala returned to Jubilee Park on Saturday 4 July 2026, and Chery Durham was delighted to be part of the celebrations.
As part of Croxdale Group’s continued support for the annual Gala, we brought a selection of the Chery TIGGO range from our Durham dealership to Spennymoor, giving visitors the opportunity to see some of Chery’s latest SUVs up close.
And with this year’s theme being ‘Saddle Up Spennymoor’, we couldn’t resist getting into the spirit of things.
The Chery TIGGO 4 joins the Spennymoor Gala parade
Our Chery TIGGO 4 took centre stage for the Grand Parade, complete with a bespoke Chery Durham western-inspired design created especially for the occasion.
Travelling through Spennymoor alongside the performers, community groups and other parade participants gave us a brilliant opportunity to take one of Chery Durham’s newest models directly into the heart of the town.
Discovering the Chery TIGGO range in Spennymoor
The parade wasn't the only place to find Chery.
Visitors arriving at Jubilee Park could get a closer look at four models from the growing Chery TIGGO SUV range, positioned along the main walkway into the event.
Chery TIGGO 4, TIGGO 7, TIGGO 8 and TIGGO 9 on display
Alongside our parade-ready TIGGO 4, the display featured the TIGGO 7, TIGGO 8 and TIGGO 9.
The TIGGO 8 also made another appearance in its distinctive Durham Pride livery, bringing a little extra colour to an already colourful day.
For people who may have seen Chery on the road but haven't yet visited Chery Durham, the Gala provided an informal opportunity to see several models together and discover just how broad the new TIGGO range has become.

A brilliant day at Jubilee Park
The weather played its part, the crowds turned out and Spennymoor certainly embraced the theme.
From cowboy hats and western outfits to live music, family entertainment, the funfair and Grand Parade, Jubilee Park was packed with people enjoying one of the town's biggest annual community events.
For Croxdale Group, events like Spennymoor Gala give us an opportunity to do something that a showroom alone can't always achieve – put our vehicles in front of local people in a relaxed, familiar environment and let them explore them for themselves.
And with Chery being one of the newest additions to Croxdale Group, it was particularly valuable to bring the TIGGO range out into the community surrounding our Durham dealership.

Looking back at Spennymoor Gala
Our relationship with Spennymoor Gala didn't begin with this year's cowboy hats.
Croxdale Group was also a main sponsor in 2024 Carnival of Colour, with the rainbow DS and for the 70th Spennymoor Gala in 2025 showing all the new brands at Croxdale Group including Jeep, when Jubilee Park was transformed into Boogie Wonderland for its milestone anniversary celebrations.
We brought a 20-vehicle multi-brand display to the event, while a specially branded Jeep Rubicon joined the Grand Parade through Spennymoor.
The display was exceptionally well received, with the Gala organisers highlighting its strong position alongside the street theatre walkway and the level of interest from visitors taking photographs, looking around the vehicles and speaking to the team.
That activation also delivered measurable results, including a test drive, a Motability order and a new-car sale, alongside significant local and digital exposure.

After another fantastic day in Spennymoor, we're already looking forward to doing it all again.
Thank you to the Spennymoor Gala Committee, everyone involved in organising the event and, of course, everybody who stopped to look at the cars, spoke to the team or simply gave our cowboy-themed TIGGO 4 a wave as it passed through town.
