New Zealand’s Jimmy Neesham, a seasoned T20 professional with over 4000 runs and nearly 250 wickets under his belt, has quickly settled into life in the North East after signing for Durham Cricket ahead of the 2025 Vitality Blast.

The 34-year-old has not only brought world-class experience to the pitch, but is also embracing everything Durham life has to offer; from scenic golf courses to his standout new ride: the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, courtesy of Alfa Romeo Durham - Croxdale Group.

As part of Croxdale’s partnership with Durham Cricket, which runs until the end of the 2026 season, Jimmy visited Croxdale Group Durham, the region’s trusted motor retailer since 1967. While there, he was handed the keys to a sporty Alfa Romeo Stelvio, in Alfa Red, perfect for navigating UK roads and exploring all corners of the country between matches.

“It’s a soft ride with all the modern bells and whistles,” says Jimmy. “It’s comfortable on long drives and there’s loads of boot space – plenty of room for my golf clubs.”

He adds that the advanced driver-assistance features have been especially handy when adjusting to British road rules:

“The safety features help keep me within the speed limit, which is great when you’re from overseas and still getting used to the signs!”

“I’ve driven to six or seven golf courses around Durham and even up to Scotland between matches. It’s my go-to way to unwind.”

“We all live near each other, eat out together, and spend a lot of time on the road. The group has really bonded, and that shows on the pitch.”

With Durham pushing for a home quarter-final in the Vitality Blast, Neesham is feeling positive:

“We’ve had a strong start – if we win a couple more, we’ll be in a great position to play in front of a home crowd.”
