Bethany - Accounts Apprentice
Can you give us a brief introduction of yourself?
Hi! I’m Bethany, I’m 21 and I joined Croxdale Group in September 2017 as an Accounts Apprentice. Throughout my time here, I have gained the experience and knowledge to take on more responsibility and become confident in my role. My role is extremely varied, however day to day tasks include assisting with the companies general Accounts and daily contribution towards month-end Accounts.
How did you know you wanted to do an Accounts
Apprenticeship?
When I went to College I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do and
I chose to do an Accounting A-Level as this combined my love of Problem Solving
and Maths which I excelled at in School. Throughout this course, I realised how
much I enjoyed Accounting and decided to make this a career goal for myself.
After careful consideration, I decided to look at an apprenticeship as an option
as I liked the idea of gaining experience required in a workplace whilst also
learning and achieving further qualifications.
What are the benefits of being an apprentice?
One of the advantages of an apprenticeship is earning a wage
whilst gaining knowledge and experience. I love that I have gained enough
experience to take on more responsibility over time and have been given
opportunities I may not have been given if I had taken a different educational
route.
What is it like being an
apprentice in the Automotive Industry?
At Croxdale Group we have 4 franchises plus Approved Used
vehicles, this makes each day different and varied, which makes the job more
interesting to me. An Accounts Department in the Automotive Industry is
extremely fast-paced, and I believe this has given me the experience to excel
and become the best I can be in this role.
What are your goals for the future?
What is your favourite franchise model at Croxdale Group?
Lauren - Digital Marketing Apprentice
Can you give us a brief introduction of yourself?
Hi! I’m Lauren, I am 18 years old and joined Croxdale Group
as a Digital Marketing Apprentice at the beginning of this year. I finished my
A levels last summer and had been looking for the perfect opportunity to expand
my skills and knowledge and was keen to kick-start my career. My typical day as
an apprentice at Croxdale Group consists of researching and planning creative
content for all our social media platforms and analysing the analytics to help gain
the best understanding of how we can perform at our best and remain
competitive.
I have always loved to be creative. I studied Graphic Design at GCSE and A level and loved having the freedom to design and create my own content for different projects. I also love creating artwork in my own time and have my own Instagram page dedicated to sharing my work. I knew I wanted to develop a career in marketing as it would allow me to be creative and I was eager to learn as much as I could about the industry.
What are the benefits of being an apprentice?
One benefit of being an apprentice is being able to earn whilst you learn, I love having the opportunity to do this especially when I am learning about something I have such a strong interest in. Being able to build a career in something I love and am passionate about is an even bigger bonus!
Being an apprentice in the motor trade means I am always
busy, and I love that! Especially working for Croxdale Group I have four
franchises to post social media content for, so there is never a dull moment. I
love being able to research and learn in-depth the most successful ways of
promotion. Each day I learn something new and really feel as though I am
getting the most out of my apprenticeship already!
What are your goals for the future?
My goals for the future are to develop my marketing career as much as I can. I look forward to each day at work as I get the opportunity to learn more across the franchises that we have here, and I cannot wait to hopefully progress further!
I love the design of the DS Range, I think they are stylish, modern and luxurious. I also like the quirky design of the Citroen C1 and C3. I think I need to drive them to make my decision.
