Citroën has revealed the ELO concept car, a bold new vision for future mobility. Compact, colourful and cleverly designed, ELO blends smart electric engineering with a brilliantly flexible interior that adapts to modern life. It’s a fresh take on everyday travel, built around three simple ideas: Rest, Play and Work.
At Croxdale Citroën, we’re excited to share a first look at this vibrant concept that showcases where the brand is heading next.
ELO may be just 4.10 metres long, but step inside and you’ll find the space of a mini “tiny house on wheels”. Its ultra-modular interior can seat up to six people, transform into a sleeping space or become a relaxed mobile workstation. This is Citroën exploring what electric mobility can look like in a fast-changing world.
Citroën’s designers have reimagined what a car can offer beyond driving.
ELO creates a calm, bright space with large glass surfaces and cosy seating. Fold-out inflatable mattresses (developed with Decathlon) allow the interior to become a peaceful sleeping area or even a small cinema on wheels.
Built as the ultimate basecamp, ELO includes removable outdoor seats, an integrated compressor for inflating sports gear and clever door-mounted awning points for sheltered adventures. The rear sill even doubles as a seat for swapping walking boots after a day in the hills.
With hybrid working firmly part of modern life, ELO adapts effortlessly. The central driver’s seat rotates 360°, while a hidden laptop table, screen projection technology and thoughtful storage transform the cabin into a compact but comfortable mobile office.
ELO’s vibrant orange exterior and friendly character give it an unmistakable personality. Inside, its airy “C-Zen Lounge” delivers wellbeing and simplicity, showcasing Citroën’s focus on creativity, comfort and positive energy.
To bring ELO to life, Citroën collaborated with leading brands:
These choices support Citroën’s push for sustainability, practicality and affordability.
ELO is currently a concept model showcased at the Brussels Motor Show, created to explore new ideas rather than confirm a production vehicle. While not announced for sale in the UK, it gives a strong signal about Citroën’s future direction: smarter design, greater flexibility and joyful electric mobility.
As Durham’s trusted Citroën retailer, we’ll continue to follow the ELO story and share updates as they develop.
