Your MG Warranty

MG’s seven-year warranty period begins on the first date of registration and offers unlimited mileage for the first 12 months and 80,000 miles thereafter. If you should sell the car during the seven-year period, the remainder will be transferred to the new owner.

This generous warranty covers all newly purchased MG models and guarantees the following…

• Free repair or replacement of any part that fails as a result of a manufacturing or material defect (some restrictions apply to MG3 and MG ZS models)

• Paintwork repairs, including blistering, peeling, cracking, discolouration and staining as a consequence of a manufacturing or material defect (restrictions may apply to MG3 and MG ZS models)
• Repair or replacement of selected ‘wear and tear’ fixtures (except tyres) that fail as a consequence of a manufacturing or material defect during the first 12 months of the warranty – or prior to the first chargeable main service, whichever occurs first (conditions apply to MG3 and MG ZS models)
• Any parts replaced under the terms of the warranty – for the balance of the warranty period only (MG3 and MG ZS models: any genuine MG parts are guaranteed)

MG3 and MG GS models which were provided with a five-year warranty from 1 September 2018 and 1 November 2017, respectively, are guaranteed for…

• Five years or up to 60,000 miles, whichever happens first (while there are no mileage restrictions during the first 12 months, some restrictions apply)
• Free-of-charge repair or replacement (some restrictions apply)
• Paintwork repairs – for defects which occur as a result of a manufacturing or material defect during the first three years (conditions apply)
• Selected ‘wear and tear’ components subject to failure during the first 12 months of the warranty period – or prior to the first scheduled main service (restrictions apply)
• Any genuine MG parts replaced under the terms of the warranty for the balance of the warranty period

Also provided: an anti-perforation warranty and a parts and accessories warranty.
