All new MGs come with a comprehensive manufacturer warranty as standard, along with an extensive anti-perforation and paint warranty.
Our vehicles are designed to the highest standards and then rigorously tested to ensure that nothing should go wrong. In the unlikely event that something does go wrong with your MG, you have complete peace of mind with your warranty.

The warranty period commences on the date of first registration. MG covers vehicles (registered on or after 01/09/2019) for unlimited mileage up to 12 months, and for 80,000 miles between 13 months and 84 months (whichever comes sooner). The warranty transfers to each new owner so long as it hasn’t expired.

MG Warrants the metal body panels of your new MG car against perforation due to corrosion, which is the direct result of defects in material or manufacturing process. Perforation is defined as corrosion or rusting through of a body panel on the vehicle from the inner surface, to the outer surface (resulting in a hole).
A 7 years anti-perforation warranty applies to the New MG3 (18MY on), MG ZS, ZS EV, MG5 EV and MG HS models from the date of registration.
MG GS, MG6 and MG3 models, all carry a 6 years anti-perforation warranty from the date of registration.
For the warranty period to remain valid it is required that you have your vehicle inspected every 12 months for the duration of the anti-perforation warranty by an MG Dealer and documented. The dealer may charge for this service. In the unlikely event your car is effected by perforation as described above, then an MG Authorised Dealer/Repairer will replace or repair the effected panel free of charge.

Not that anything should go wrong with your brand-new MG, but in the unlikely event that something does, we provide a one-year roadside assistance package from the AA with all new MGs.
This package will cover the vehicle for the whole of the UK (including Homestart, Roadside Assistance, Recovery and Onward Mobility cover). It’s a really comprehensive package to offer you reassurance and peace of mind. The details of your cover can be found here.
Following on from your initial year's roadside assistance, when you take your car back to your MG dealer for every subsequent scheduled service, if you choose the option, you will receive a further 12 months’ MG Assistance free.
Alternatively, if you do not take your car back to your MG dealer, following on from your initial year's roadside assistance, the AA will provide MG owners an exclusive 15% discount on all renewals. For more information, click here.
