No – liability insurance is provided with your rental vehicle, the cost for which is included in the hire charge. A damage waiver comes with an excess that is payable should damage occur. You also have the option to purchase other protections, which can lower the cost of the excess.

The insurance on a rental car works in a similar way to your regular insurance policy. At Croxdale, we ask you to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel that you drove away with. So if the tank was full, we require it to be refilled before you return the car. Other rental companies have different policies, so check before you drive away.
If you are caught speeding in a rental vehicle, the fine will be sent to us. The value of the fine will then be deducted from your bank card, which is kept on file during the rental. You may also have to pay an admin fee for the handling of the fine.
